Key Stage 2 Teacher

St Mark's Church of England School is seeking to appoint a committed and talented Key Stage 2 Teacher to join our dedicated team. We are looking for a dynamic, talented teacher to teach in KS2 and create and manage a caring, supportive, purposeful and stimulating environment which is conducive to children's learning and upholds the school Christian values. You will have the responsibility for an assigned class and be responsible for the day-to-day work and management of the class and the safety and welfare of the pupils, during on-site and off-site activities.

To be successful, you will have a passion for learning and teaching, together with the skills to inspire and motivate our students. In addition, you have excellent teaching and classroom management skills with the ability to build good relationships with staff and students. This is a great opportunity for an ambitious teacher to develop their practice and actively contribute to our Primary Phase.

Key Responsibilities
  • To create and manage a caring, supportive, purposeful and stimulating environment which is conducive to children's learning and upholds the school Christian values.
  • To plan and prepare lessons in order to deliver the National Curriculum ensuring breadth and balance in all subjects.
  • To identify clear teaching objectives and success criteria, with appropriate challenge and high expectations.
  • To maintain good order and discipline among the pupils, safeguarding their health and safety.
  • To organise and manage groups or individual pupils ensuring accessibility to the curriculum for different learning needs, reflecting all abilities.
