GeneralEducation Teacher Responsibilities
- Implement instructional activities that foster a climate where students are actively engaged in meaningful learning experiences.
- Identify, select, and modify instructional resources to meet the needs of students with varying backgrounds, learning styles, and special needs.
- Use direct instruction techniques to guide students through activities that promote social, physical, and intellectual growth needed for primary school success.
- Assist in assessing changing curricular needs and offer plans for improvement.
- Maintain effective and efficient record‑keeping procedures.
- Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with students, parents, and other professionals on a regular basis.
- Collaborate with peers to enhance the instructional environment.
- Model professional and ethical standards when dealing with students, parents, peers, and the community.
- Ensure continuous and appropriate student growth and achievement for the age group, subject area, or program classification.
- Participate in training and staff meetings.
- Meet professional obligations through efficient work habits such as honoring deadlines, honoring schedules, and coordinating meetings as needed.
- Evaluate each student’s learning capabilities and celebrate achievements.
- Encourage students to uphold our values and model mature behavior and good character in and outside the classroom.
- Remain active in the role by light lifting, sitting, standing, moving throughout campus, and traveling to other campuses as required. Participate in events outside normal hours.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Successful completion of a criminal history background check.
- Current teaching certificate issued by the state.
