Principal Injection Molding Tooling Engineer

• Lead evaluation and definition of tooling packages for RFQs on new products.
• Conduct mold flow analysis and provide design feedback to improve manufacturability, quality, and cycle time.
• Own specification, quotation, procurement, and lifecycle management of injection mold tooling.
• Facilitate Design for Manufacturing (DFM) reviews and identify tooling-driven process improvements.
• Develop and standardize SOPs, work instructions, and best practices for tooling setup, maintenance, and operation.
• Partner with engineering and production teams to troubleshoot tooling and process issues in real time.
• Drive improvements in OEE through data‑driven analysis and participation in manufacturing reviews.
• Identify and execute cost‑saving opportunities through tooling redesign, standardization, and new technologies.
• Support automation and advanced manufacturing initiatives to enhance production capability.

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Manufacturing, Plastics, or related field) or equivalent experience.
• Extensive experience in injection molding tooling design, procurement, and production environments.
• Proven expertise in mold flow analysis and applying results to tooling and part design decisions.
• Strong knowledge of injection molding processes, materials, and tooling construction.
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross‑functional initiatives and influence technical outcomes.
• Experience developing SOPs and driving continuous improvement in manufacturing.
• Strong problem‑solving and troubleshooting skills in fast‑paced production environments.
• Effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate across diverse teams.

• Advanced degree in Engineering or related field.
• Experience in industrial equipment or technology manufacturing environments.
• Background in automation, robotics, or advanced manufacturing systems.
• Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or similar continuous improvement methodologies.
• Experience managing global tooling suppliers and vendor relationships.
• Knowledge of emerging materials, sustainability practices, or digital manufacturing technologies.
