Cost Accounting Manager

We are recruiting for a Cost Accounting Manager to join a growing manufacturing client of ours in Greater Cincinnati. This role partners with operations leadership to deliver financial insights that improve efficiency, profitability, and strategic decision‑making.

• Lead cost accounting activities, including standard cost development, variance analysis, and inventory valuation.
• Prepare and analyze monthly performance reports and KPIs to support data‑driven decisions.
• Partner with plant teams to identify cost‑saving opportunities and improve productivity.
• Maintain accurate Bills of Material (BOMs), routings, and standard costs.
• Support budgeting and forecasting for labor, overhead, and capital expenditures.
• Facilitate month‑end close for operations accounts and provide variance explanations.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and ERP/reporting enhancements.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA or CMA preferred).
• 5+ years of standard cost accounting experience in manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of cost models, inventory accounting, and variance analysis

• Proficiency in Excel and ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics, SAP, or similar).
• Excellent analytical and communication skills.
