Staff Accountant

LHH is looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Staff Accountant to join our client’s accounting team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in accounting principles, experience with general ledger functions, and a passion for accuracy and process improvement. This position is direct hire and will pay between $55k and $72k annually depending on experience and education.

• Prepare and post journal entries, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP
• Reconcile general ledger accounts, including bank statements and intercompany transactions
• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
• Maintain fixed asset schedules and depreciation entries
• Support accounts payable and receivable functions as needed
• Analyze financial data and prepare reports for management
• Assist with audits by providing documentation and responding to inquiries
• Collaborate with operations to ensure accurate tracking of assets and related expenses
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 2+ years of accounting experience
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
• Strong understanding of GAAP and internal controls
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong communication and problem‑solving abilities
• Experience with ERP systems (e.g., Net Suite, SAP, Oracle)
