Carson Lynch is recruiting on behalf of a well‑established, ~$50M commercial construction/design company in the Kenwood area. With nearly 40 years of success in the market, our client is known for delivering commercial, institutional, and industrial projects with a strong focus on quality, teamwork, and long‑term relationships.

They are seeking a Controller to lead all day‑to‑day accounting operations and serve as a key financial partner to the executive leadership team. This is a great opportunity for an experienced construction accounting professional—or a strong Senior Accountant ready for a step up—who thrives in a hands‑on, collaborative environment.

• Lead the month‑end close process
• Manage cost accounting and project cost analysis
• Support benefit and retirement plan administration
• Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
• Collaborate with the President and leadership team on financial decision‑making
• Oversee day‑to‑day transactional accounting, including AP, AR, and payroll
• Supervise and mentor an Accounting Assistant
• Maintain strong internal controls and best practices
• Communicate effectively across a small, team‑oriented office environment

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (required)
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Construction industry experience strongly preferred
• Ability to work onsite in the Kenwood area
• Strong communication skills and comfort interacting with leadership
• Team‑oriented mindset with the ability to work independently when needed
