Staff Accountant

A growing and well-established organization is seeking a Staff Accountant to join its accounting team. This position offers an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional to gain broad exposure to financial reporting, general ledger accounting, budgeting, and operational accounting activities.

Candidates with 1-3 years of accounting experience are encouraged to apply. Recent graduates who have completed strong accounting internships, co-ops, or related practical experience will also be considered. This position is direct hire and will pay between $50K and $70K annually.

• Prepare and maintain monthly financial reports and supporting schedules.
• Assist with month-end and year-end close activities, including journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations.
• Reconcile bank accounts and other balance sheet accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Review and process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
• Assist with customer billing, cash application, collections support, and account analysis.
• Monitor operational and capital expenditures to ensure proper accounting treatment and reporting.
• Track fixed assets, capital projects, and related expenditures.
• Support annual budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes.
• Analyze financial data and provide reporting support to management and operational teams.
• Assist with audit preparation, including gathering documentation and preparing supporting schedules.
• Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
• Identify process improvement opportunities and participate in special projects as assigned.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
• 1-3 years of accounting experience preferred.
• Recent graduates with relevant internship, co-op, or hands-on accounting experience are encouraged to apply.
• Understanding of GAAP and fundamental accounting principles.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas, lookups, pivot tables, and data analysis.
• Experience working with accounting software or ERP systems is preferred.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.

Pay Details: $50,000.00 to $70,000.00 per year
