Unlimited Systems authors the category-leading Unlimited Financials practice management system focused on the unique revenue cycle requirements of specialty healthcare providers. Unlimited Systems customers enjoy streamlined business office workflows, reduced claim denial rates, and accelerated and amplified revenue streams. Unlimited Systems is committed to ensuring that specialty healthcare providers thrive in a dynamic reimbursement environment.
Unlimited Systems is building the financial infrastructure that a scaling, private-equity backed SaaS business demands - and the Controller will be the operational core of that infrastructure, ensuring the books are clean, the close is tight, and the numbers the CFO and Board rely on are always right.
The ChallengeIn a PE-backed environment, financial accuracy is not a back-office concern - it is a trust and governance issue. Our Board will make decisions based on the numbers Unlimited Systemsproduces. The CFO presents them. The Controller owns them. When the books are late, the audit is messy, or a revenue recognition question surfaces without a clear answer, itis the Controller who is accountable for the resolution - and the integrity of the entire financial reporting function.
Unlimited Systems needs a Controller who brings both technical accounting depth and the operational discipline to build and manage the processes, systems, and team that make financial reporting consistently excellent. This is a high-accountability role in a company that is growing fast and needs its accounting function to grow with it - not catch up to it.
You will be solving for:
- Owning a clean, consistent, on-time monthly close - building the processes, checklists, and team discipline that make the close predictable and the output trustworthy, every period without exception.
- Ensuring GAAP financial statements are accurate, well-documented, and audit-ready at all times - so the annual audit is an orderly process, not a scramble, and the CFO can sign off with confidence.
- Building the internal controls and accounting infrastructure appropriate to a scaling PE-backed SaaS company - establishing the policies, procedures, and segregation of duties that protect the business as it adds complexity and headcount.
- Serving as the CFO's right hand on technical accounting questions - providing clear, well-reasoned answers on revenue recognition, lease accounting, stock-based compensation, and other complex areas with speed and precision.
You’ll know you’ve succeeded when:
- The monthly close consistently completes within five business days, with financial statements delivered to the CFO on time and requiring minimal revision.
- The annual audit concludes with no material weaknesses, no significant deficiencies, and a management letter that reflects a well-controlled accounting environment.
- Revenue recognition under ASC 606 is fully documented, consistently applied, and withstands scrutiny from the auditors, the Board, and any future transaction due diligence process.
- The accounting team is well-staffed, well-managed, and capable of handling growing transaction volume and organizational complexity without a proportional increase in errors or close time.
The CFO relies on the Controller as the definitional owner of the numbers - and never wonders whether what has been reported is what actually happened.
