Accounts Payable Specialist

Vaco is hiring an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to manage the full AP cycle, including invoice processing, purchase order matching, vendor payments, reconciliations, and vendor support. Compensation $25-30 an hour depending on experience. Located in Cincinnati, OH 45241

• Process, code, and verify vendor invoices for accuracy
• Match purchase orders, receipts, and invoices and resolve discrepancies
• Schedule and process vendor payments via checks, ACH, and wires
• Maintain vendor records and respond to vendor inquiries
• Reconcile vendor statements and research discrepancies
• Review and process employee expense reports
• Assist with month-end close, AP reporting, accruals, and reconciliations
• Maintain accurate documentation and support audit requests
• Ensure compliance with accounting policies and internal controls
• Identify opportunities to improve AP processes and efficiency

• 3-5 years of Accounts Payable or General Accounting experience
• Knowledge of accounting principles and practices
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office
• Experience with accounting software such as Quick Books, Net Suite, or similar systems
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Experience in a high-volume or multi-entity AP environment
• Familiarity with ERP systems and automated AP tools
• Experience with process improvement and workflow optimization
