Senior Accountant

, Ohioacute Permanent Senior  AccountantLHH is partnering with a well-established professional services organization to identify a Senior Accountant who will support key accounting operations, financial reporting activities, and process improvement initiatives. This position offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative environment with visibility across multiple areas of the business. This position is hybrid after training and will pay between $70K and $95K annually depending on experience and education.

Responsibilities Prepare and maintain financial reports, journal entries, and supporting accounting documentation.

Manage general ledger activity and perform month-end account reconciliations.

Research and resolve account variances, discrepancies, and outstanding items.

Review reconciliations and accounting schedules for accuracy and completeness.

Assist with tax reporting, liability tracking, and compliance-related activities.

Reconcile bank accounts and support cash management processes.

Maintain and enhance internal accounting controls and procedures.

Ensure accurate recordkeeping and documentation of financial transactions.

Perform financial analysis, reporting, and special projects as assigned.

Support system implementations, business integrations, and accounting process improvements.

Recommend workflow enhancements to increase efficiency and accuracy.

Provide guidance and support to junior accounting team members.

Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
3+ years of progressive accounting experience.

Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and financial reporting.

Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.

Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Strong communication abilities and attention to detail.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Public accounting experience is a plus.

CPA designation or progress toward certification is preferred.
