Senior Accountant

Mobile Infrastructure Corporation is a Cincinnati-headquartered, publicly traded real estate company that acquires, optimizes, and manages a diversified portfolio of 35 parking facilities throughout the United States. As one of the largest asset owners within the parking space, we seek to acquire underutilized parking facilities, optimize those assets — both from a usage and capital perspective — and manage them to their fullest potential.

Mobile Infrastructure Corporation is seeking a Senior Accountant with a desire to lead and be involved with monthly, quarterly and annual reporting, preferably with a real estate accounting background. The ideal candidate has a strong desire to participate in a team environment and be self-motivated in learning new tasks and improving their role. The right candidate will be able to thrive in a quickly changing environment and actively seek opportunities for efficiencies.

This is a deliberately cross-functional role. The Senior Accountant will work day-to-day with the broader Accounting, Asset Management (Operations) and FP&A teams, as well as with third-party operators, and will assist in leading data, automation and process-improvement projects that make the accounting function more efficient and support business growth.

• Complete the monthly financial closing process, including journal entries, intercompany accounting, notes payable and escrow reconciliations, account reconciliations and variance analyses.
• Assist in recording and reviewing property-level financial results.
• Work alongside the Accounting Manager to prepare and review routine financial reporting and monthly and quarterly management decks.
• Own accounts receivable and collections processes, including invoicing, collection outreach and reporting with third-party partners.
• Own federal and state tax activities in partnership with a third-party outsourced partner.
• Execute equity-related journal entries, payment requests and required reporting.
• Participate in the external audit process, including preparation of annual audit schedules.
• Identify and recommend process improvements and efficiencies, including opportunities to leverage AI and automation.
• Administer accounting procedures and monitor internal controls.
• Assist with accounting systems maintenance, including vendor master data, financial formatting and ERP functionality.
• Ensure the accuracy of financial records and reports and complete other ad hoc projects as assigned.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• CPA or CPA candidacy preferred.
• 3–5 years of accounting experience required, preferably including real estate or public accounting experience.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook and Power BI.
• Demonstrated experience using AI tools to automate processes or accelerate analysis preferred.
• Highly analytical with strong attention to detail.
• Strong interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills.
• Exceptional project management, organization and time-management skills.
