P&G MLB Cincinnati Reds Youth Academy Intern

Job Summary:

A Reds Youth Academy Intern assists with daily operations, program setup, participant tracking, and administrative tasks for the P&G MLB Cincinnati Reds Youth Academy. Reds Youth Academy interns support the Reds Community Fund (RCF) and events, requiring approximately 20-30 hours per week, including nights/weekends, with a passion for sports, kids, and strong organizational/communication skills.

Employees are expected to follow all Cincinnati Reds policies and procedures, serve as positive role models, and manage their workload effectively. This includes demonstrating flexibility, prioritizing tasks efficiently, and meeting departmental productivity standards.

Minimum Requirements:

Education | Current college student or recent graduate.

Experience | Should have prior baseball/softball experience with a strong understanding of the fundamentals. Should have some experience working with kids, exhibiting an ability to be patient and understanding

Skills | Must have an outgoing, friendly personality and excellent communication skills, strong initiative, and high level of energy

Preferred Qualifications:

Education | Current student working towards an Associate or Undergraduate degree.

Experience | Prior work experience in at least one business setting and one sports setting

Skills | Good time management skills and present self in a professional manner with a passion for sports.

Primary Job Duties & Responsibilities:
Responsible for recording, tracking and communicating RYA program attendance accordingly. | 35%
Administrative duties will include managing the participant application process, reception desk processes, placing equipment/apparel orders, inventory organization & management, etc. | 35%
Gain a thorough understanding of, and assist in the execution of site/facility operations processes. | 15%
Assist in planning and execution of the RYA camps/clinics throughout programming season. | 5%

Assist with Reds Community Fund outreach and fundraising events as needed | 5%

Other duties as assigned | 5%

Reporting Structure:

This role reports directly to the Director of the Reds Youth Academy.

Physical Requirements:

• Occasionally required to sit
• Use hands, reach with hands and arms, talk and hear
• Light lifting/carrying to assist with event preparation
• May be exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time
• Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate
