The Intake Specialist plays a critical role in the initial phase of client engagement by efficiently gathering and assessing essential information to facilitate smooth service delivery. This position serves as the first point of contact for clients, ensuring that their needs are accurately understood and documented to support subsequent processes. The Intake Specialist collaborates closely with various internal teams to coordinate client intake, verify eligibility, and maintain comprehensive records.

By managing sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism, the Intake Specialist helps uphold organizational standards and compliance requirements. Ultimately, this role contributes to enhancing client satisfaction and operational efficiency through meticulous data collection and communication.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or higher preferred.
• Proven experience in a client-facing role, preferably in healthcare, social services, or customer service.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
• Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain client confidentiality.
• Proficiency in using computer systems and software applications for data management.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working with electronic health records (EHR) or client management systems.
• Familiarity with relevant regulatory requirements such as HIPAA.
• Background in social work, counseling, or related fields.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Bilingual abilities to support diverse client populations.
