Overview
KPMG is seeking a Senior Associate, Category Management Lead for IT Contract Renewals to join our Strategic Sourcing and Procurement organization. Responsibilities include delivering IT Contract Renewals category expertise and developing strategies based on spend data, supply market dynamics, category intelligence, and business requirements to improve cost effectiveness, quality, and risk management.
Responsibilities- Provide sourcing category expertise in IT Contract Renewals; develop category strategies based on spend data, supply market dynamics, category intelligence, and business requirements; track technology-related maintenance and support renewals throughout contract life cycles to drive savings and reduce operational risk.
- Conduct due diligence by obtaining supplier quotes, issuing renewal notifications, and confirming requirements with business owners; identify cost reduction opportunities, negotiate best price, and process renewals in compliance with contracts and firm policies.
- Perform complex data analysis and build financial models (ROI, NPV, supplier scorecards, savings tracking, make-vs-buy decisions); execute strategic sourcing projects to deliver total value with key stakeholders across the Firm.
- Manage IT Contract Renewals suppliers by reviewing obligations/SLA adherence, risk requirements, and business expectations; develop and execute negotiation strategies to maximize value and minimize risk.
- Partner with the business to influence and challenge status quo; ensure compliance with procurement policies; collaborate with suppliers and stakeholders to manage performance, drive continuous improvement, and address issues.
- Work with legal and other areas to ensure proper representation and enforcement of critical terms and conditions.
- Act with integrity, professionalism, and personal responsibility to uphold KPMG's respectful work environment.
- Minimum three years of experience in sourcing, contract negotiation, supplier management, outsourcing, and project management; mix of management consulting and line experience is a plus.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university required.
- Good working knowledge of Service Now; understanding of common contractual issues to mitigate risk and negotiate IT renewals; proficiency in Microsoft Office; ability to build strong relationships with business partners.
- Strong interpersonal, collaborative, and influencing skills; ability to navigate a complex organization and lead negotiations.
- Strong organizational, time management, and project management skills; ability to handle multiple projects and negotiations; strong analytical, financial, and facilitation skills.
