Newline Commercial Business Analyst II

Total Base Pay Range 54,400. USD Annual

General Function

This position focuses on payment processing; including ACH, wire transfers, and instant payments, primarily through API-based solutions. Responsibilities include designing processes, writing procedures, training internal teams, and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and driving positive change. A critical team member in project delivery, collaborating with stakeholders across business and technology to ensure efficiency, compliance, and positive customer experience.

Accountable for always doing the right thing for customers and colleagues and ensures that actions and behaviors drive a positive customer experience. While operating within the Bank's risk appetite, achieves results by consistently identifying, assessing, managing, monitoring, and reporting risks of types.

Duties And Responsibilities
  • Possess solid knowledge of the Commercial business line including strategy, business plans, products, processes and revenue streams.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for payment processing, including ACH, wire transfers, and instant payments, with a focus on API-based solutions.
  • Design and document clear, user-friendly, and efficient procedures, workflows, SOPs, and training materials for payment flows, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and scalability.
  • Train team members on processes, tools, and reporting techniques to improve operational efficiency.
  • Review, research, and provide information and solutions for payment-related inquiries.
  • Create and maintain operational reporting to identify trends, monitor volumes, and recommend product enhancements.
  • Collaborate with line of business, operations, and technology teams to define requirements and deliver innovative processes and solutions.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement with an emphasis on automation, risk control, and customer experience.
  • Assist in project planning, work assignments, and target dates; manage special projects and produce insightful reporting.
  • Manage special projects as assigned.
Minimum Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities Required
  • Bachelor's degree with an emphasis on MIS, Finance, Business, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum 2-4 years of experience in Banking, Systems or Operations; project management experience preferred.
  • Strong understanding of ACH, wire, and instant payment systems; familiarity with API integrations.
  • Knowledge of payment network rules, operational process, and technical communication protocols.
  • Proficiency in Windows based software programs (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio).
  • Excellent analytical skills, written and oral communication skills, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to design processes, write procedures, and train teams effectively.
