Stockroom Clerk

Responsible for acquiring materials and documents to fulfill requests for purchases, including preparing purchase orders and handling inquiries about orders. Follows through with purchase from order placement to fulfillment and ensures order arrives undamaged and on time. Ordering of all Emblems.

• Examining departmental purchase requisitions for completeness and accuracy necessary to support the buying process
• Ensuring POs are issued, shipped, and received on a timely basis
• Responding to customer and supplier inquiries about order status, changes, or cancellations
• Contacting suppliers to schedule or expedite deliveries and to resolve shortages, missed or late deliveries, and other problems
• Maintaining knowledge of all organizational and governmental rules affecting purchases
• Supporting the Center Led Procurement process with various ad-hoc requests

• Acute sense of urgency, excellent customer service skills and demeanor
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Detail oriented
• Strong command of Microsoft Word and Excel; MS Access a plus
• Knowledge of purchasing practices and procedures

• Supply Chain Management, Logistics, and Business Administration.

• Experienced with supplier management
• The position would require 0-2 years of experience
