Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Traveling Superintendent with a background in structural steel to oversee field operations on self-storage and commercial projects. This role requires extensive travel to project sites and strong leadership to ensure work is completed safely, on time, and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily site operations for structural steel erection and related trades
• Coordinate schedules, subcontractors, and suppliers to maintain project timelines
• Ensure strict adherence to safety standards, company policies, and project specifications
• Conduct site inspections and quality checks to maintain workmanship standards
• Communicate effectively with project managers, engineers, and clients
• Solve problems proactively and keep projects moving forward
• Maintain accurate daily reports, project documentation, and progress updates

Qualifications

• 5+ years of superintendent or foreman experience in structural steel/construction
• Strong knowledge of steel erection, drawings/blueprints, and site safety practices
• Proven ability to manage crews and subcontractors effectively
• Willingness to travel extensively to job sites (home on weekends when possible)
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• OSHA certification (preferred)
