LF Studios is seeking a Costuming Associate for our Costuming department to consistently produce costumes, alter patterns, create digital prints and digital patterns. This person must be a highly self‑motivated individual that can move quickly and efficiently from one task to another.

Salary: $75,000.00–$85,000.00 (Full‑time)

• Assist the production team in producing custom‑made costume pieces for themed designs.
• Create and modify patterns based on a variety of figures.
• Work closely with the Costume Director to ensure that the overall fit and pattern match the creative intent.
• Sew costume mock‑ups, final costumes, and costume alterations.
• Help ensure that all projects are completed in a well‑executed and timely manner; may require working overtime.

• Degree in Fashion Design, Costume Design, or Apparel Design, or 5 years of related experience.
• 2 years experience with CLO and Adobe software.
• Strong background in draping and pattern drafting.
• Excellent understanding of garment construction, fit, finishes and industry resources.
• Working knowledge of fabrics, fit, color and proportion.
• Understanding of taking a design from concept through commercialization.
• Ability to work on a variety of garment styles interchangeably.
• Strong background in sewing by machine and by hand.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to rapidly multitask, prioritize, and manage stressful situations.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize work effectively within established deadlines and time frames, with the ability to respond quickly to changing needs and balance competing responsibilities.
• Ability to work according to strict deadlines and within established budgets.
