Early Childhood School Director

The Opportunity

Working closely with other members of our show’s creative team, the choreographer will oversee all dance aspects of our musical production, including teaching and rehearsing the choreography for all major dance numbers. The choreographer’s job is to understand how dance serves a show’s story, setting, drama, and emotional context, and to bring out those critical elements in high quality and consistent performances.

Rehearsals for The Wizard of Oz, Youth Edition are Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:30 – 7:00pm and Sundays from 4 – 5pm with additional days for tech week. Rehearsals start in January 2026 and end in May 2026. Show dates are May 13, 14, and 17 with tech week running from April 30 – May 11. There are no Friday or Saturday rehearsals.

Music Director

POSITION SUMMARY

Working closely with other members of our show’s creative team, the Music Director will oversee all musical aspects of our musical production, including assisting with casting performers, teaching the score, and rehearsing singers. The Music Director’s job is to understand how songs and music serve a show’s story, setting, drama, and emotional context, and to bring out those critical elements in high quality and consistent performances.

The music director will also function as the assistant director for the duration of the production. Candidates should be familiar with blocking, note-taking, assistant teaching, helping manage student behavior, and assisting with stage management.

Rehearsals for “The Wizard of Oz, Youth Edition” are Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:30 – 7:00pm and Sunday from 4
-5pm starting January 2026 through May 2026 with additional days for tech week. Show dates are May 13, 14, and 17 with tech rehearsals running from April 30 – May 11. There are no Friday or Saturday obligations.

Stage Manager

POSITION SUMMARY

Working closely with other members of our show’s creative team, the stage manager will facilitate communication across all creative departments; oversee sets, props, and costumes. They will record blocking, remain backstage during performances, as well as ensure safety of the cast, crew, and audience.

Rehearsals for “The Wizard of Oz, Youth Edition” are Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:30 – 7:00pm, and Sundays from 4:00 – 5:00pm. There are additional rehearsal dates and times on Sundays beginning in March and the two weeks leading up to the show. Performances are May 13, 14 and 17. Tech rehearsals run April 30 – May 11. There are no Friday or Saturday rehearsals.
