Founded in 1967, The Health Care Connection was Ohio’s first Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC). Our mission is to provide quality, culturally sensitive and accessible primary healthcare services. THCC is proudly recognized as a Level 3 Patient Centered Medical Home (PCMH), the highest level of recognition attainable for quality care.

We boast two primary care locations and 6 school-based health centers providing quality value-based care for over 20,000 patients. We provide services in Primary Care, Infectious Disease, Substance Use, Integrated Behavioral Health, Dental Services, Women’s Health, and Pharmacy.

The Health Care Connection may be the perfect fit for you! We are currently seeking a Dental Assistant with a professional demeanor and exceptional customer service skills to join our Mt. Healthy and Lincoln Heights Health Center locations. This role is critical in supporting dental operations and delivering a positive, comfortable patient experience.

• Prepare treatment rooms and patients for procedures
• Provide chairside assistance to the Dentist, Dental Hygienist, and/or EFDA
• Record exam findings and maintain accurate documentation
• Monitor sterilization cycles and follow infection control protocols
• Maintain inventory of dental supplies and ensure clinical readiness
• Support patient flow and clinic operations
• Assist with various dental procedures as needed

• High School diploma or GED (required)
• Certification in Dental Assisting or equivalent on-the-job training
• Current CPR certification (or ability to obtain)
• Familiarity with dental and infectious control standards
• Ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations
• Strong organizational skills and willingness to learn electronic dental record systems
• Team-oriented, flexible, and open to supervision
