• Assistthe dentist during a variety of treatment procedures while helping patients feel comfortable
• Set up and breakdown operatory post treatment
• Manage infection controlbypreparingand sterilizinginstruments and equipment
• Provide patients withfollow-upinstructionsfollowing all dental treatment procedures
• Educate patients on appropriate oral hygiene strategies tomaintainoral health

• Dental Assistant Certificate where state regulations specify
• X-ray certification where state regulations specify

This is a clinical working environment where potential exposure to hazardous waste and blood-borne pathogens is possible. Requires prolonged periods of standing, sitting, leaning, and bending up to 8 hours a day. Will berequiredto carry, transport, and use tools and equipment. Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
