• Capable and experienced in all areas of Architecture with an emphasis on buildings and building site design
• Experience producing Architectural design and construction documents in an A/E consulting firm
• Understanding and experience with design and office related computer software and operating systems
• Experience designing buildings to meet LEED criteria
• Experience working with structural engineers, electrical engineers, mechanical engineers, civil engineers, interior designers, and other technical personnel
• Experience mentoring and supervising architects, designers, and technical personnel
• Proficiency in REVIT
• Familiarity with A/E industry BIM standards
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
• Comfortable with a broad range of project types
• Familiarity and experience working with building codes
• Capable and competent in all areas of building design
• Proactive and assertive in problem solving
• Staff management and client relationship skills
• Comfortable working in teams and making group presentations
• Experience providing marketing and project interview support
• Experience managing parallel assignments
• Experience working with Federal Government Agencies such as the Department of Defense, the Department of Justice and the US Army Corps of Engineers, a plus
• Proficiency in AutoCAD or Micro Station a plus; LEED certification a plus
• Good written and oral communications skills; fluent in speaking, reading and writing in English
• Ability to be registered in every state a plus- (NCARB Record preferred)

• Work with the Director and Project Managers to meet KZF goals and objectives
• Respond to estimated budget hour requests from Division Managers and Project Managers
• Assist project managers with development of project schedules and budgets
• Provide technical, project management and client management support to projects
• Work directly with the Director and KZF project managers and assume the “day‑to‑day” responsibility of Architectural design/production for assigned projects
• Work with Project Managers to establish design parameters consistent with the project scope, schedule and budget
• Prepare Architectural design and construction documents in REVIT, per applicable standards
• Coordinate with project managers regarding schedule and construction costs for each project scope of work
• Seek advice and counsel from Director of Architectural Services as needed
• Lead the interface with all professional disciplines assigned to the project to coordinate the work
• Prepare Architectural design studies, written design narratives, calculations, and analysis, and direct Architectural staff as required
• Research building materials and systems and select appropriate items for incorporation into the building design
• Maintain a general knowledge of mechanical, electrical, structural, civil, fire protection and telecom building systems; coordinate these systems with the architectural design
• Perform conceptual planning and design and confirm the requirements of assigned projects are consistent with the project scope, schedule and budget
• Prepare design documents as required for all phases of design (concept, schematic, design development, construction documents)
• Prepare documents in conformance with KZF standards and quality control requirements
• Prepare outline and final construction document specifications, and coordinate the work with other project specifications
