Architectural Draftsman

Key Responsibilities

• Produce detailed architectural drawings, blueprints, plans, and layouts using Chief Architect & Autocad software and traditional drafting techniques.
• Collaborate with Project Consultants, engineers, and production to interpret design concepts and translate them into technical drawings.
• Revise drawings and plans based on feedback, design changes, or site conditions.
• Ensure all drawings adhere to building codes, zoning laws, and other legal requirements.
• Maintain organized records of all drawings, revisions, and project documentation.
• Assist with preparing materials for permit applications and construction approvals.
• Conduct site visits as needed to gather measurements and verify existing conditions.
• Coordinate with subs and production to clarify plans and resolve design-related issues during project execution.
• Manage zoning and permitting processes by researching local regulations, preparing necessary documentation, and liaising with relevant authorities to ensure project compliance and timely approval.

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Drafting, or a related field.
• Proficiency with CAD software (Chief Architect, Autocad) and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Solid understanding of architectural design, construction processes, and building codes.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in preparing drawings.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
