Job Overview

The University of Cincinnati Blue Ash College Department of Mathematics, Physics, and Computer Science invites applications for a tenure‑track position at the rank of Assistant Professor in Physics, beginning August 15, 2026.

• Teach assigned physics courses in person, including Concepts in Physics, Introductory Physics, Algebra‑based General Physics, Calculus‑based College Physics, Introductory Astronomy, and Sustainable Energy, with labs. Standard teaching load 12 credit hours per semester. Classes 15–30 students.
• Use Canvas and other classroom technologies.
• Hold regular office hours.
• Engage in physics research and physics‑education research, attending conferences, presenting, and publishing peer‑reviewed articles.
• Participate in service: committee service, academic advising, and other activities that enhance mission of department, college, university, and community.

• Master’s degree in Physics, Physics Education, or related field.
• At least one academic year of teaching experience at the college/university level, as teaching assistant, adjunct, or full‑time faculty.
