The Department of Rehabilitation, Exercise, and Nutrition Sciences is seeking a full‑time tenure‑track faculty member to advance research, teaching, and service missions. The appointment is a 9‑month, tenure‑track position with rank commensurate with education and experience. Preferred start date:
August 2026 (later dates possible).
The department offers graduate degrees in Doctor of Physical Therapy, Doctor of Occupational Therapy, Master of Athletic Training, Master of Nutrition Sciences, and PhD in Health & Rehabilitation Sciences. Undergraduate programs include a BS in Health Science with Pre‑PT, Pre‑AT, Pre‑OT, Pre‑Med, Pre‑PA, Pre‑Pharm concentrations and online pre‑OT and Health Sciences programs.
Essential Functions- Advance a personal research agenda, seeking funding, mentoring students, and disseminating findings.
- Teach relevant content areas, primarily in the Doctor of Physical Therapy Program.
- Contribute to departmental and college service activities such as program committee work, accreditation tasks, and student recruitment and retention efforts.
- Doctoral degree (PhD, EdD, DPT) – ABD candidates acceptable if degree completed before start date.
- Ohio Physical Therapy license (or Ohio‑eligible).
- At least two years of college‑level teaching experience or equivalent full‑time work experience.
- Evidence of progress toward a defined research line.
- Recent peer‑reviewed publications and scholarly productivity.
- Record or potential for future extramural grant funding.
- Plans for continued scholarly activity, including external research funding.
- Current knowledge of computer technology and learning management systems.
- Strong interpersonal skills: communication, problem‑solving, conflict management, and follow‑through.
- Interest and ability to collaborate with an interdisciplinary team.
- Doctorate or terminal degree from a regionally accredited college or university.
- For positions in Performing and Studio Arts or Nursing, a Master’s degree may replace the doctoral requirement.
- Post‑professional doctoral degree.
- Active research program as primary investigator.
- Established research agenda with a sustainable record of dissemination (average 1-2 peer‑reviewed publications per year).
- Evidence of previous research applications, with preference for funded external grants.
- Post‑doctoral research training or fellowship.
- Clinical or teaching experience in pediatrics or geriatrics.
- Experience mentoring student research projects.
- Active participation in professional organizations.

Compensation and BenefitsSalary: $88,000.00 per year.
