Overview
Roberts Academy After School Assistant supports daily operations of the After School Program by engaging directly with children to foster academic, social, and emotional development. Under the guidance of the School Age Supervisor, the Assistant helps implement developmentally appropriate activities, ensures a safe and nurturing environment, and builds positive relationships with children, families, and team members.

Part‑time, 20‑24 hours per week
Pay & Bonus$15‑17/hour with a $300 Sign‑On Bonus
Qualifications- High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s degree preferred.
- Interest and experience working with children preferred.
- Valid driver’s license preferred.
- Technical skills: familiarity with Microsoft Windows and standard Microsoft Office applications.
- Program Implementation & Child Engagement – 50%:
Participate in daily program activities, promote age‑appropriate engagement, model positive guidance, and design supportive learning environments. - Internal and External Collaboration – 20%:
Communicate respectfully with team members, families, and supervisors; build strong relationships; attend team meetings and required trainings. - Administrative & Operational Support – 20%:
Assist lesson plan development, complete attendance and documentation, maintain a clean work environment, and ensure compliance with licensing standards. - Core Values & Professional Conduct – 10%:
Demonstrate respect for diversity, maintain a positive attitude, prioritize tasks, and engage in professional development.
The role exposes employees to school, office, and mental health treatment settings, working with children who may exhibit behavior problems. Physical demands include sitting, standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
