TYPE OF VACANCY & COMPENSATION
Contractor (1099). Lead group facilitation is compensated at $150/hour, 1:1 coaching at $110/hour, and preparation and follow‑up at $50/hour. Hours are not guaranteed but can increase through the Facilitation Certification Program.

START DATE & LOCATION
December 2025 – January 2026. Cincinnati, OH. Candidates must be able to travel to Cincinnati with two weeks advance notice.

ABOUT THE ROLE

  • Design and deliver engaging professional development sessions, adjusting content based on participant feedback.
  • Provide tailored 1:1 coaching and group learning experiences for educators, both in-person and virtually.
  • Build collaborative, trusting relationships with educators and leaders to strengthen instructional capacity and improve student outcomes.
  • Support data collection, reporting, and reflection processes to measure the effectiveness and impact of coaching and professional learning initiatives.

Success in this position requires strong collaboration, adaptability, instructional expertise, and a commitment to advancing excellent teaching and learning for all students.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • Deep coaching experience with K‑5 ELA and math leaders.
  • Experience teaching or coaching i‑Ready and/or Wit & Wisdom curriculum.
  • Experience implementing Ohio’s Learning Standards.
  • At least two years as an instructional coach with evidence of impact in student learning outcomes.
  • Strong background in instructional best practices and ability to apply strategies that support effective teaching for a wide range of educators.
  • Experience designing professional development materials or serving as an instructional designer.
  • Experience facilitating impactful professional learning and coaching in both virtual and in‑person settings.
  • Experience building and managing relationships with diverse stakeholders in an education context.
  • Experience empowering teachers through trusting relationships and supporting shifts in practice to improve student learning.

COACHING & FACILITATION CONTEXT
Contractor roles are not eligible for benefits, retirement, or leave. Work hours and assignments are project‑based and flexible, with opportunities communicated in advance. Travel to Cincinnati is required for on‑site sessions, and logistics will be managed by Teaching Lab’s travel policies.
