Position Description

Aftercare Counselor

Rockwern Academy's Early Childhood Education Center (ECEC) is looking for a part-time Aftercare counselor to begin immediately for the 2026 - 2027 school year.

Who are we?

Rockwern Academy is a pluralistic Jewish day school. Our mission is to expand minds, celebrate Judaism, nurture community, and commit to building a better world. An exceptional student-teacher ratio allows us to value each student as a true individual, discovering what gives them their inner spark. The school serves toddlers through eighth graders.

Who are you?

Aftercare staff must be at least 18 years of age. We have openings for our early childhood (12 months through pre-k) students during the school year (October 2026 - May 26, 2027).

Aftercare times are Mondays-Thursdays 3:30 PM - 6:00 PM and Fridays 3:30 PM - 5:00 PM. We are willing to be flexible with days.

Objective

To support Rockwern Academy's mission by providing a nurturing play-based education to children, maintaining open lines of communication with parents and other staff, and basing expectations, practice, and behavior on a high degree of professionalism.
