HDR is currently in need of a Water/Wastewater Engineer to work as a member of the Water Business Group in our Cincinnati, Ohio office. The successful candidate will be expected to work as a team member for studies and/or detailed design and construction services for water/wastewater treatment plants, pump stations, and collection/distribution systems. In this role, you will:

• Create detailed designs of water/wastewater treatment plants, pump stations, and collection/distribution systems.
• Prepare drawings, write specifications, and analysis and study-level reports for water and wastewater systems; determine appropriate design methods, equipment sizing and selection, and cost estimation.
• Assist the project manager throughout the design and construction phases of projects.
• Perform other duties as needed.

• B.S. in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering.
• At least 5 years of experience.
• PE license.
• Experience in evaluating, designing, and developing drawings and specifications for water/wastewater treatment facilities and pump station projects is preferred.
• Self-motivated, excellent written and verbal communicator, attentive to detail, able to work independently and collaboratively.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with Microsoft Project or Primavera preferred.
• Committed to active participation in our employee-owned culture.

• M.S. in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
• Experience with Micro Station and/or AutoCAD is a plus.
• Preference given to local candidates.
