Job Description Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Process Engineer to join our team in Evendale, working in the CMC Lean Lab. This role combines tactical responsibilities with strategic contributions, focusing on the development and optimization of Ceramic Matrix Composite (CMC) manufacturing processes, including autoclave operations. The ideal candidate will have specialized knowledge in process engineering, a strong understanding of best practices, and the ability to integrate their expertise across functions.

This position requires a commitment to continuous improvement, leadership behaviors, and the ability to influence and collaborate effectively.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process Development:
    Lead the development and optimization of manufacturing processes for CMC components, from concept to production, focusing on autoclave operations and lean methodologies.
  • Technical Expertise:
    Develop specialized knowledge in CMC processes and materials, staying updated on the latest technical developments and industry best practices.
  • Strategic Contribution:
    Contribute to strategy and policy development within the CMC Lean Lab, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and delivery of high-quality results.
  • Problem Solving:
    Use technical expertise and data analysis to solve moderately complex tasks or problems in operational/product management, manufacturing, technology, or engineering. Apply new perspectives to existing solutions.
  • Collaboration:

    Work across functions, leveraging multiple internal and limited external sources to make informed decisions and drive process improvements.
  • Leadership and Mentorship:
    Act as a resource for colleagues with less experience, providing guidance and support. Lead small projects with moderate risks and resource requirements.
  • Communication and Influence:
    Explain complex or sensitive information clearly, building consensus and developing persuasive skills to influence others within the field.
  • Regulatory Compliance:
    Ensure all processes meet the requirements of highly regulated industries, maintaining compliance with applicable standards and certifications.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field from an accredited university or college.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in Process, Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in Ceramic Matrix Composites (CMC).
  • Experience in other highly regulated industries (e.g., aerospace, medical devices, automotive, or energy).
  • Commitment to continuous improvement and a willingness to learn new techniques and technologies.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills and a data‑driven approach to decision‑making.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.
Technical Skills
  • Strong knowledge of process engineering principles and controls.
  • Proficiency in Statistical Process Control (SPC) and data analysis tools.
  • Experience with autoclave operations and related manufacturing processes.
Leadership Skills
  • Proven ability to lead cross‑functional teams and drive results.
  • Demonstrated experience in mentoring and developing team members.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively across diverse teams.
