Metallurgical Engineer

Overview

Our client is an engineering solutions corporation that has been growing steadily for the past three decades. This unique team of engineers, scientists and R&D experts work closely in order to formulate difficult solutions for a wide variety of industries (anywhere from medical device and pharmaceutical, to oil, gas and aerospace!). They are currently looking to hire a Sr. Metallurgical or Materials Engineer.

$90,000.00/yr - $/yr

• Failure analysis on a variety of metals and materials used in a number of different industries
• Work with customers to provide full engineering support on new product development projects
• Perform structural reliability testing, heat transfer and heat testing on a wide variety of products
• Ensure products are meeting strict industry codes and requirements (API, ASME)
• Travel occasionally to customers throughout the US to work on R&D and product development projects
• Hire younger engineers and grow a team. Aid as the mentor/guide for junior-level Metallurgical and Materials Engineers
• Assist in the growth of the company into new industry segments
• Work collaboratively with other Sr. Engineers on large-scale engineering projects

• Master’s degree in Metallurgical or Materials Engineering (BS degree w/ strong experience is ok)
• Strong experience with Metallurgical Failure Analysis
• Exceptional communication skills- working constantly with major clients
