Overview
Our client is an engineering solutions corporation that has been growing steadily for the past three decades. This unique team of engineers, scientists and R&D experts work closely in order to formulate difficult solutions for a wide variety of industries (anywhere from medical device and pharmaceutical, to oil, gas and aerospace!). They are currently looking to hire a Sr. Metallurgical or Materials Engineer.
BasePay Range
$90,000.00/yr - $/yr
Responsibilities- Failure analysis on a variety of metals and materials used in a number of different industries
- Work with customers to provide full engineering support on new product development projects
- Perform structural reliability testing, heat transfer and heat testing on a wide variety of products
- Ensure products are meeting strict industry codes and requirements (API, ASME)
- Travel occasionally to customers throughout the US to work on R&D and product development projects
- Hire younger engineers and grow a team. Aid as the mentor/guide for junior-level Metallurgical and Materials Engineers
- Assist in the growth of the company into new industry segments
- Work collaboratively with other Sr. Engineers on large-scale engineering projects
- Master’s degree in Metallurgical or Materials Engineering (BS degree w/ strong experience is ok)
- Strong experience with Metallurgical Failure Analysis
- Exceptional communication skills- working constantly with major clients
