Are you a skilled Controls or Automation Engineer looking to play a pivotal role across concept to completion automation engineering projects with an award-winning, global leader?

This world leading business operates at the fore front of automation engineering market, due to continued growth and investment they are hiring a Controls Engineer to join the team. In this position you will work closely with engineering, project teams and senior leadership on highly technical, purpose-built automation projects from concept to completion. You will design and program PLC’s and HMI’s, travel to customer facilities (25%) to troubleshoot, debug, install, commission and launch brand new automation lines.
You will work with a breadth of automation equipment and technology, as well as robots to meet specific customer requirements.

The Position- Work with senior plant leadership, engineering, customers across a range of cutting‑edge robotic controls and automation projects
- Design and program PLC & HMI’s from initial concept
- Troubleshoot and debug complex issues and modify existing programs
- Assist with training and developing existing team members
- Travel to customer facilities to carry out installation and commissioning of purpose‑built, brand new equipment
- Controls or Automation Engineer
- Proven experience designing and programming automated equipment
- Effective communicator and able to work with multidisciplinary teams
- Able to travel to customer facilities (25%) and develop junior team members
