Electrical Engineer

Electrical Engineer for K&K Technical Group, Incto report to our Cincinnati, OH HQ location but working at multiple unanticipated locations in USA.

Responsibilities include:

• Facilitate electrical building system startups and commissioning activities.
• Provide SME assistance in review of product and equipment submittals, shop drawings, engineering design drawings and specifications, and contractor‑generated RFIs.
• Work with building construction contractors and equipment vendors to coordinate equipment factory testing, delivery, installation, commissioning and handover to end users.
• Coordinate weekend and plant shutdown work with contractors, plant facilities groups, and manufacturing shops.
• Conduct work progress inspections on a continuous basis.
• Support construction administration activities related to schedule coordination, quality confirmations, weekly coordination meetings and planned utility outages.
• Conduct inspections and observations of electrical building systems for compliance with project specifications, quality standards and applicable codes.
• Oversee the work of electrical contractors for adherence to project delivery methods, schedule milestone targets and coordination with other groups.
• Prepare field engineering status reports of work progress and schedule for Project Managers.
• Provide input and feedback to improve project technical specifications and standards.
• Communicate technical matters in written and verbal formats.
• Multi‑task, manage time and prioritize project commitments based on established deadlines and project milestones.
• Little national travel to client locations may be involved, not to exceed 60 days per year.
• Occasional evening and weekend hours may be required.
• May undergo background check incl. drug screening.
• May require pre‑hire technical screen or interview.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, related Engineering or another related field.
• 5 years of relevant experience in Electrical Design.
• 2 years of experience in construction management and safety procedures with OSHA requirements for electrical installations, including Lock‑Out, Electrical Safe Work Practices, Control of Hazardous Energy and arc flash safety.
• Experience applying prevailing building codes and professional industry standards, including IBC, NEC, NESC, NFPA, ASME, AMCA, ARI, AWS, ASH RAE and FM.
