Water Tech is currently seeking an entry-level Wastewater Operator to work in the Cincinnati, OH area to learn different wastewater treatment processes.

This position is responsible for learning and controlling treatment plants, machines, and equipment to clarify and purify water and wastewater for permitted industrial uses.

• Learn to operate and control electric motors, pumps, and valves.
• Learn to collect and test water samples to determine concentration levels and impurities.
• Learn to perform scheduled maintenance, service, and new installations of water treatment equipment.
• Maintain accurate record keeping of client data.
• Comply with all client safety parameters.
• Provide regular communication with operators and management of any non-routine operating parameters.
• Assist with compiling data for the Environmental Protection Agency.
• Coordinate with Veolia's purchasing department to order wastewater treatment supplies.
• Troubleshoot problems within client’s wastewater treatment equipment and coordinate repairs.
• Study for either the physical/chemical or biological wastewater certification exam.
• Work different shifts (days, evenings, nights) and shifts of 8 to 12 hours.
• Travel to several locations outside of the area, up to 75% of time away from home.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proficient with MS Office or Google Apps.
• Mechanical background is preferred.
• Willingness to travel and learn from several styles of treatment facilities while training across the United States.
