Job Summary:
Our architecture/engineering services client is currently seeking a Senior Plumbing Designer to lead the design and coordination of plumbing, and mechanical systems for a variety of commercial building types, including civic, education, government, transportation and more. This role requires strong technical expertise, leadership skills, and a collaborative mindset.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the mechanical design process from concept through construction documents
• Develop plumbing system layouts using Revit and AutoCAD
• Perform load calculations, equipment selection, and energy analysis
• Coordinate with architects, structural, electrical, and civil engineers
• Review and mark up shop drawings and submittals
• Mentor junior designers and engineers
• Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and sustainability goals
• Participate in client meetings and presentations as needed

Qualifications:

• Associate or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• 8+ years of experience in mechanical design for buildings
• Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and mechanical design software (e.g., Trane Trace, Carrier HAP)
• Strong knowledge of building codes, ASHRAE standards, and LEED principles
• Excellent communication and coordination skills
• PE license preferred but not required
