Environmental Scientist/Project Manager – The Mannik & Smith Group, Inc.
Location: Cincinnati, OH (also openings in Maumee, Cleveland & Columbus)
OverviewThe Mannik & Smith Group, Inc. (MSG) is a people‑focused, award‑winning full‑service consulting firm offering services in civil and geotechnical engineering, environmental consulting, planning, landscape architecture, agriculture, surveying and construction support.
We are expanding and need a full‑time Environmental Scientist/Project Manager to lead environmental site assessment, remediation and re‑use planning projects.
Key Responsibilities- Project management on environmental site assessment, remediation and re‑use planning projects.
- Technical task management for due diligence assessments, environmental investigations and remedial feasibility studies.
- Support design and bid specification development for environmental remediation projects.
- Data synthesis, evaluation and technical reporting.
- Support business development and proposal preparation, including detailed scopes of work and cost budgets.
- B.S. or M.S. in Geology, Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or related field.
- At least 8 years of relevant experience in environmental consulting or regulatory work.
- Expertise in completing Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs) per ASTM International Standard Practice E1527‑21.
- Knowledge of Ohio’s Voluntary Action Program (VAP) and Bureau of Underground Storage Tank Regulations (BUSTR) rules, regulations and guidance.
- Ability to interpret site plans and physical setting maps.
- Strong communication and technical writing skills.
