Johnson & Johnson is inviting applications for its Fall 2025 Electrical Engineering Co‑op program in Cincinnati, Ohio. This on‑site, full‑time opportunity offers students a hands‑on experience at the forefront of healthcare innovation. With a strong focus on improving lives through cutting‑edge technology, this co‑op allows participants to contribute to the development of smarter, more personalized medical devices.
A Real-World Experience in Med Tech and InnovationThis co‑op runs from August 25 to December 12, 2025, and is ideal for students pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related disciplines. Participants will gain exposure to product design and development in medical devices, including surgical instruments, robotics, and electronic equipment. Responsibilities include
- supporting design, testing, prototyping, troubleshooting, data analysis, and documentation
- gaining experience with embedded systems, firmware, circuit design, and system testing
Participants are expected to assist in laboratory testing, experimental setups, and use state‑of‑the‑art tools to develop hardware and software solutions. With each rotation, responsibilities increase, allowing students to build on their skills and contribute more significantly to the team’s goals.
Qualifications and What You’ll NeedTo qualify, students must have completed at least two years of their academic program and maintain a GPA of 3.0 or higher. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without future visa sponsorship. Experience with MATLAB, Python, circuit troubleshooting, and embedded systems is required, while skills in circuit simulation, statistical analysis, and prior experience in the medical device industry are preferred.
Supportand Compensation
Johnson & Johnson offers a competitive wage and a housing stipend for students residing over 50 miles from the Cincinnati site. Although transportation is not provided, students will be connected with fellow co‑ops and provided with housing resources prior to their start date. The program emphasizes mentorship, development, and networking with students from various institutions across the country.
