• Perform detailed commercial and industrial electrical take‑offs from blueprints, specifications, and project documents.
• Create accurate cost estimates for materials, labor, equipment, subcontractors, and vendors for electrical contracting projects.
• Prepare purchase orders, material orders, and documentation to support bidding and project execution.
• Visit job sites to assess progress, maintain logs, evaluate work status, and troubleshoot scope changes.
• Confer with subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors, negotiate pricing, leverage local market knowledge, and build strong vendor relationships.
• Collaborate with project managers, design engineers, and field teams to ensure alignment and value‑engineering opportunities.
• Contribute to cost‑control initiatives, value‑engineering strategies, and bidding processes to enhance overall project profitability.

• Minimum of 2 years of relevant estimating or take‑off experience in electrical contracting or construction (commercial/industrial environment preferred).
• Proficient in blueprint reading, specification interpretation, material take‑offs, and cost estimating.
• Experience with estimating software – Accu Bid is preferred – and intermediate level proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to negotiate and collaborate effectively with vendors and internal teams.
• Ability to multitask, stay organized, self‑motivated, and proactive in a fast‑paced estimating environment.
• High school diploma required; college degree in construction management, electrical engineering or related field preferred.
• Must be able to pass a background screening.

• Competitive base salary $80,000 – $140,000 per year, depending on experience.
• $100 per month phone allowance.
