Description
The Controls Engineer will focus on supporting a Transmission Gear Program.
Key responsibilities include:
- Validate program capabilities using Siemens PLCs and CNC motion control systems
- Commission new equipment and ensure proper functionality
- Program and troubleshoot electrical systems
- Actively participate in safety sign-offs and compliance checks
- Verify equipment capabilities and performance
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams and coordinate meetings with Tier I suppliers
- PLC Programming (Siemens, Allen-Bradley)
- HMI Development
- Controls Engineering
- Robotics Integration
- Electrical Troubleshooting
- Automation Systems
Skills & Qualifications Preferred:
- 10+ years of experience in Controls Engineering
- Extensive software programming experience (Siemens preferred)
- Knowledge of international electrical and safety standards (UL, ISO, IEC)
- Familiarity with internal/external safety processes (risk assessments, PSS, coordinated safety)
- Experience with program delivery from cost study phase through launch
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cincinnati, OH.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $110000.00/hr.
