We are working with an established Plastics company based in North Cincinnati, Ohio
. They are recruiting a Process / Continuous Improvement Engineer to join their team on Days (Monday – Friday) in return for a salary in the region of $100,000 - $130,000 along with excellent employment benefits.

The successful candidate will be responsible for optimizing production processes, identifying and solving process-related issues, and driving continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.

This role requires strong technical and analytical skills, hands‑on troubleshooting abilities, and a proactive mindset to enhance operational efficiency, product quality, and safety.

Key Responsibilities as the Process / Continuous Improvement Engineer include:
  • Develop and implement process improvements to enhance productivity and quality within the manufacturing environment.
  • Conduct root cause analysis to identify issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Analyze, monitor, and improve manufacturing processes to ensure consistent product quality and maximum efficiency.
  • Identify root causes of process problems through structured fault-finding and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Develop and implement corrective actions and process improvements based on data-driven analysis.
  • Work closely with production, maintenance, and quality teams to resolve process issues in a timely manner.
  • Lead or support continuous improvement projects using Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma tools.
  • Develop and maintain process documentation, SOPs, and technical reports.
  • Conduct time studies, process audits, and capability studies to optimize productivity and minimize waste.
  • Support new product trials and process scale‑up initiatives.
  • Train operators and production staff on best practices and new procedures.
  • Ensure processes comply with safety, quality, and environmental standards.
Qualifications & Experience required:
  • Strong fault-finding and root cause analysis skills.
  • Solid understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies (Green Belt or higher preferred).
  • Proficient in data analysis, statistical tools, and process control (SPC, FMEA, DOE, etc.).
  • Six Sigma Certification would be an advantage.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 and quality systems in manufacturing.
