• Collaborate with members of your team (e.g., data architects, IT team, data scientists) on project goals.
• Install/update disaster recovery procedures.
• Recommend ways to constantly improve data reliability and quality.
• Technical degree or related work experience.
• Experience with non‑relational & relational databases (SQL, MySQL, No
  
  SQL, Hadoop, Mongo
  
  DB, etc.).
• Experience programming and/or architecting a back‑end language (Java, J2EE, etc.).

• Snowflake – Modern data warehousing.
• Dbt – SQL‑based transformations, testing, and documentation.
• SQL – Advanced queries and optimization.
• ETL/ELT Development – Pipeline design and orchestration.
• CI/CD – Git‑based deployment and automation.
• Data Stage – Legacy ETL support during migration.

• AWS / Azure / Google Cloud Platform:
  Cloud storage, compute, and IAM fundamentals.
• Python & Shell scripting:
  Automation and data processing.
• Data Validation Frameworks (e.g., dbt tests or Great Expectations).
• Metadata Management:
  Cataloging and lineage tracking.
• REST / SOAP APIs:
  Integration with external systems.
• Data Modeling:
  Normalized and dimensional models.

• Handle design, construction, installation, testing, and maintenance of scalable data management systems.
• Ensure all data systems meet company requirements and research new uses for data acquisition.
• Understand industry practices such as data mining, algorithms, and data utilization.
