Primary Talent Partners has a new contract opening for a Project Controls Analyst with our large power and utilities client in Cincinnati, OH. This is a 3‑year contract with a potential for extension, with a hybrid schedule of 3 days a week in the office.
Pay: $55.00–$60.00 per hour; W2 contract, no PTO, no benefits. ACA‑compliant supplemental package available for enrollment.
Description- Key skills to target:
Attention to detail, data analytics, critical thinking. - Workers at this level are responsible for routine aspects of project control assignments with close supervision, and are expected to develop their skills to work more independently.
- Worker will be expected to work with a team of Project Controls Analysts and Schedulers, performing cost forecasting and reporting for a portfolio of projects budgeted anywhere from
*** K to
*** M annually, comparing monthly actuals to the baseline and identifying variances. This position works in partnership with a more experienced Analyst. - Work requires a working knowledge of Excel; the selected candidate must have strong problem‑solving, collaborative and communication skills.
- Candidate must demonstrate knowledge of basic project controls principles. This role typically involves “White” or “Green” projects per the Project Management Center of Excellence Project Profile Matrix.
- Graduation from a two‑year college or university in business, finance, project management, engineering, technical, or an equivalent field; minimum of 2 years of project controls experience in lieu of a degree.
- Demonstrated working knowledge of project management / project controls concepts and computer applications such as scheduling software, financial tools, and spreadsheets.
- Graduation from a four‑year college or university in business, finance, project management, engineering, technical, or an equivalent field.
- PMI or AACE certification (PMP, CAPM, PMI‑SP, AACE‑CCC, AACE‑PSP, AACE‑CEP, AACE‑EVP, or equivalent).
- Experience using software such as MS Project, Primavera, Business Objects, Passport, MS Office Suite, Prolog, Visio, Access, Powerplant, Maximo, People Soft.
