W to develop product takeoffs and cost estimates as required by the customer's documentation from routine small material-only projects to self-performed utility-scale projects. Will act as subject matter experts on the IRA (Inflation Reduction Act) and other state and federal laws affecting projects.

• Identify, mark, takeoff, and estimate products of interest to company from contract documents, including all revisions/addenda. Be the IRA subject matter expert for the Estimating team.
• Maintain accuracy of takeoffs, estimates, and quotations of all products submitted by the team, using self-review and post-mortems (post fabrication cost analysis) of project specifications, material, and labor items as well as the final quotation itself, and recapitulate material, labor, equipment, subcontractor, and overhead costs incurred in the fabrication of items across all business products for reporting to the Pre-Construction Manager.
• Regularly meet with dependent departments (Engineering, Construction, Operations) on project post-mortems to review actual costs to estimated costs, sources and impact of detractors, update cost estimate templates as needed for estimating accuracy.
• Forward requests for information (RFI's) as required to customers and/or owners for items that are not clear and could affect overall cost.
• Review and update resource information (standard drawings/specifications, checklists, and notes) to ensure items that impact cost are up to date.
• Obtain pricing for materials and coordinate on request for quotes (RFQ's) with internal resources and necessary subcontractors, accurately entering real-time actual cost and selling totals in database for tracking.
• Where pre-determined standards are not available, responsible to provide reasonable estimate.
• Informs immediate supervisor of any observed inaccuracies or omissions in quoted items or database.
• Pursue supervisory review of large estimates.
• Maintain adequate lead time on takeoff/estimate preparation.

• Bachelor's degree
• 2+ years Construction / Estimating experience
• Renewable Energy Industry experience is a plus
• Able to sit up to 8 hours per day; work is primarily performed in front of a computer
