Job Description & How to Apply Below

Our core competencies include systems engineering, program management, logistics, production support, aircraft maintenance, and aviation/aerospace services. We were founded in 2015 and since our establishment, we have been attracting the best talent in our fields of interest enabling us to provide cutting-edge solutions and support to our warfighters. We understand and provide expert consultation on weapons systems acquisition programs, maintenance/modernization programs, and sustainment programs.

We know defense and we know aircraft systems.

We are seeking an experienced and highly collaborative Aerospace Structural Engineer to join our advanced jet propulsion team. In this role, you will design, analyze, and validate primary and secondary structural components for next-generation propulsion and airframe mounting systems. You will ensure all structures meet strict strength, stiffness, weight, and durability requirements while collaborating closely with materials, manufacturing and testing teams.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Structural Analysis:
Perform linear and non-linear stress, buckling, fatigue, and damage tolerance analyses on metallic and composite structures.
  • Finite Element Modeling (FEM):
Build, refine, and validate complex structural models using ANSYS, NASTRAN, or Abaqus.
  • CAD Design:
Create and modify 3D blueprints and engineering drawings using Catia or Siemens NX in compliance with GD&T standards.
  • Material Testing:
Define structural test plans, oversee physical load testing, and correlate test data back to analytical models.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:

Partner with aerodynamics, thermal control, and manufacturing teams to optimize weight and performance.
  • Lead mechanical design of complex assemblies, including enclosures, mounting structures, thermal solutions, and structural components.
  • Support hands-on integration of hardware.
  • Support troubleshooting for mechanical and system-level issues during lab and field testing.
  • Support environmental qualification aligned with standards such as MIL-STD-810.
  • Develop and execute test plans to validate mechanical performance and durability.
  • Support design for manufacturability (DFM) and design for assembly (DFA).
  • Contribute to technical reports, proposal efforts, and technical planning for new programs.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Represent Albers Aerospace on-site at the customer facility.
  • Mentor and manage onboarding activities for new team members.
  • Support the development of training products and present training.
  • May lead small engineering teams to support larger projects.

Note: The duties and responsibilities described on this document are not necessarily a comprehensive list and additional tasks may be assigned to the employee from time to time. The scope of the job may change as necessitated by business demands.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Strong proficiency in CAD tools (e.g., Solid Works, NX)
  • Experience with rapid prototyping methods (CNC, 3D printing, sheet metal, composites)
  • Proficiency with Finite Element Analysis (FEA) software and classical hand-calculation methods
  • Familiarity with environmental and durability requirements for defense systems
  • Ability to work hands-on in a lab or integration environment
  • U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain/hold a security clearance

Desired Skills/Abilities:

Familiarity with project management principles (although this position requires daily Aerospace Structural Engineering expertise and technical execution)
