Job DescriptionThe role involves reviewing documents to ensure the correct mortgage servicing process is followed, including collecting mortgage payments, servicing properties impacted by FEMA, managing foreclosure processes, verifying eligibility for assistance programs, and maintaining regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities- Understand job requirements and consistently deliver to meet set targets.
- Review 1098/1099 documents and ensure rate adjustments are correctly calculated with necessary notices sent within regulatory timelines.
- Audit bankruptcy documentation to confirm proper handling of loans in bankruptcy stages.
- Confirm loan payments are processed and applied correctly per Note and applicable regulations.
- Ensure documents filed correctly with mortgage insurance providers.
- Audit processes for missed payments collection, assistance options solicitation, notice mailing, and credit report pulls.
- Verify escrow account functions are performed properly.
- Ensure loans affected by FEMA disasters are serviced correctly and assistance is provided.
- Confirm foreclosure processes from initiation to final settlement comply with policies, regulations, and laws.
- Confirm servicing of monitored and unmonitored hazard claims.
- Manage loans with LPI, ensuring proper notice before LPI application and removal when required.
- Audit assistance options, finalize permanent assistance, and update the Loss Mitigation Workstation timely.
- Verify accurate payoff calculations and proper lien release processes.
- Confirm loan‑servicing records are properly transferred, following established policies.
- Minimum 24‑36 months of U.S. mortgage servicing experience.
- In-depth knowledge of mortgage servicing processes, documentation, and loan terminology.
- Strong verbal and written communication.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Ability to resolve complex issues promptly.
- Flexibility to work night shifts.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
