These discretionary target bonuses may be awarded semi-annually based upon your achievement of performance goals and targets.

Axos Bank is seeking a dynamic VP or FVP, Senior Manager, Accounting & Finance to lead critical accounting and finance functions. This role partners with executive leadership to ensure financial integrity, drive strategic decision-making, and deliver operational excellence. You will oversee accounting operations, risk management, investment analysis, and regulatory compliance while championing process innovation and team development.

• Strategic Leadership:
  Serve as a subject matter expert in specialized areas of accounting and finance, providing guidance to senior leadership.
• Financial Analysis:
  Oversee collection, analysis, and reporting of financial data to evaluate performance and inform strategic decisions.
• Reporting & Compliance:
  Direct month-end and year-end close processes, maintain SOX documentation, and design robust internal controls.
• Team Development:
  Build and lead a high-performing accounting team, fostering collaboration and continuous improvement.
• Audit & Policy Management:
  Manage internal and external audit requests and ensure compliance with company policies and interpretations.
• Regulatory Support:
  Develop models and estimates for fair value assessments and other regulatory requirements.
• Management Reporting:
  Drive internal reporting initiatives, including transfer pricing, cost allocation, and intercompany settlements.
• Process Innovation:
  Lead projects such as system implementations, process reengineering, and model development to enhance efficiency.
• Executive Communication:
  Prepare and deliver executive-level presentations for senior management and the Board.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or advanced degree preferred).
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience; equipment finance lease accounting experience strongly preferred.
• Proven leadership experience managing teams and driving organizational change.
• Deep knowledge of GAAP, SOX compliance, and financial reporting standards.
• Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels
