You will oversee accounting operations, risk management, investment analysis, and regulatory compliance while championing process innovation and team development.
Base pay range$/yr - $/yr
Additional compensation types- Annual Bonus
- Target Range: $/Yr.
- $/Yr. - Actual starting pay will vary based on factors including geographic location, experience, skills, specialty, and education.
Eligible for an Annual Discretionary Cash Bonus Target: 10%
Eligible for an Annual Discretionary Restricted Stock Units Bonus Target: 10%
These discretionary target bonuses may be awarded semi-annually based upon your achievement of performance goals and targets.
About This RoleAxos Bank is seeking a dynamic VP or FVP, Senior Manager, Accounting & Finance to lead critical accounting and finance functions. This role partners with executive leadership to ensure financial integrity, drive strategic decision-making, and deliver operational excellence. You will oversee accounting operations, risk management, investment analysis, and regulatory compliance while championing process innovation and team development.
Responsibilities- Strategic Leadership:
Serve as a subject matter expert in specialized areas of accounting and finance, providing guidance to senior leadership. - Financial Analysis:
Oversee collection, analysis, and reporting of financial data to evaluate performance and inform strategic decisions. - Reporting & Compliance:
Direct month-end and year-end close processes, maintain SOX documentation, and design robust internal controls. - Team Development:
Build and lead a high-performing accounting team, fostering collaboration and continuous improvement. - Audit & Policy Management:
Manage internal and external audit requests and ensure compliance with company policies and interpretations. - Regulatory Support:
Develop models and estimates for fair value assessments and other regulatory requirements. - Management Reporting:
Drive internal reporting initiatives, including transfer pricing, cost allocation, and intercompany settlements. - Process Innovation:
Lead projects such as system implementations, process reengineering, and model development to enhance efficiency. - Executive Communication:
Prepare and deliver executive-level presentations for senior management and the Board.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or advanced degree preferred).
- 7+ years of progressive accounting experience; equipment finance lease accounting experience strongly preferred.
- Proven leadership experience managing teams and driving organizational change.
- Deep knowledge of GAAP, SOX compliance, and financial reporting standards.
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels
