The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) serves as the senior financial leader for the Jewish Federation of Cincinnati (JFC) and is a key member of the organization’s executive leadership team.

The CFO reports directly to the Chief Operating Officer and works in close partnership with the Managing Director of Shared Business Services (SBS).The CFO maintains primary responsibility for the financial leadership, governance support, financial planning, operational stewardship, and long-term fiscal sustainability of JFC.

• The CFO is responsible for the overall financial management of JFC, including accounting oversight, budgeting, forecasting, treasury and cash management, investment and endowment oversight, financial reporting, audit coordination, compliance, internal controls, donor-advised fund stewardship, and long-range financial planning.
• Operating within JFC’s Shared Business Services (SBS) model, the CFO partners closely with the Managing Director on operational integration, shared systems, finance team alignment, and cross-functional collaboration while leveraging SBS infrastructure and organizational support capabilities.
• This role requires a strategic, mission-driven, and collaborative leader who can effectively partner with executive leadership, volunteer leaders, affiliated organizations, community stakeholders, and external advisors while helping shape the future of the JFC and the broader Jewish community.
• Executive Leadership & Strategic Partnership
  • Serves as a member of the JFC executive leadership team and Shared Business Services leadership team
  • Partners closely with executive and lay leadership to support organizational strategy, long-range planning, and financial sustainability
  • Serves as a strategic thought partner to the CEO, COO, Executive Committee, Board of Directors, Finance & Administration (F&A) Committee and Investment Committee
  • Provides strategic financial analysis, forecasting, and scenario modeling to support organizational decision-making and mission impact
  • Helps guide organizational resource allocation and financial decision-making in alignment with JFC’s strategic priorities and mission
  • Builds strong partnerships across departments, affiliated agencies, and community stakeholders to support operational alignment and organizational effectiveness
