Provide’s Sales team is looking for a bold, compassionate, and focused SBA Lending Consultant to empower small business owners to build their legacies by driving the growth and success of the Bank’s Small Business Administration (SBA) loan portfolio. In this role, you will focus on acting as an SBA subject matter expert to educate customers and internal partners about SBA loan products, structuring loans to meet SBA guidelines, and presenting and selling loan products to both existing customers and prospects .As

a Provide and Fifth Third Bank team member, you will be responsible and accountable for risk by openly exchanging ideas and opinions, elevating concerns, and personally following policies and procedures as defined. You will be accountable for always doing the right thing for customers and colleagues and ensuring that actions and behaviors drive a positive customer experience. While operating within the risk appetites of Provide and Fifth Third Bank, you will be expected to achieve results by consistently identifying, assessing, managing, monitoring, and reporting risks of all types.

A day in the life:

Evaluate customer needs and ensure all SBA lending activities meet SBA Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
Collaborate with internal partners to identify SBA-eligible lending opportunities

Assist in prospect conversations, loan structure support, and eligibility summaries for SBA underwriting approval

Help train front-line staff and internal partners on SBA programs, guidelines, and eligibility

Conduct ongoing sessions to update teams on SBA policy changes or program enhancements

Coordinate with attorneys, along with internal operations and closing partners, to ensure smooth and timely loan closings

Maintain accurate pipeline reporting and help prepare necessary documentation for SBA submission and loan approval

Our newest teammate will have:

Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or related field, or equivalent experience

Minimum three (3) years of experience in SBA lending, including hands-on experience with SBA loan origination and servicing, and familiarity with SBA loan packaging and submission platforms (e.g., SBA One)
In-depth knowledge of SBA loan programs and SOPsDemonstrated ability to structure and present compelling and compliant SBA loan deals

Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence and educate others

Experience partnering directly with bankers, business development officers, or sales teams

Experience navigating the SBA eligibility and underwriting process

Strong analytical and credit skills

Ability to work cross-functionally with internal and external stakeholders

Comfort in customer-facing environments

Demonstrated strong attention to detail

Self-motivated working style and strong problem-solving skills
