Job Description
Cytology Technician – Growth & Competitive Pay
Job Overview
Perform cytological evaluation of gynecological and non-gynecological specimens, including fine needle aspiration, to assist in diagnosing benign, malignant, microbiologic, viral, and other pathological conditions. This position does not require direct supervision for specimen processing, testing, or reporting results.
Location: Good Samaritan Hospital, 375 Dixmyth Avenue, Cincinnati, OH 45220
Work Hours
- Full-time, 80 hours bi-weekly
- Day shift from 8 AM - 4:30 PM.
- No weekends or holiday commitments
Job Requirements
- Graduate of an approved technical, professional, or vocational program
- Equivalent experience accepted in lieu of a degree
- American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP) certification
- CT or equivalent certification;
If registry eligible, certification must be obtained within one year of hire - Non-gyn and FNA experience and knowledge
- 1-2 years of experience in a related field
