** Intervention Specialist
** at Kids Thrive Pediatric Mental Health plays a vital role in providing educational instruction and behavioral support to children in a therapeutic setting. The Intervention Specialist collaborates with mental health professionals and supports staff to create a structured, supportive, and engaging learning environment tailored to the needs of children facing behavioral and emotional challenges.

* Education:

*** Active Ohio intervention specialist license strongly preferred
* Completion of resident educator program strongly preferred
* Alternative license with strongly relevant experiences considered
*
* Experience:

*** At least two years of classroom teaching experience with K-6 behavioral health populations
* Experience maintaining compliant special education documentation, including administering assessments, reporting progress and providing input for IEPS, ETRs and any other requirements
* Experience implementing positive behavior supports, trauma-informed care and related supports and interventions
** Position Requirements:
*** Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with individualized education goals and therapeutic interventions.
* Provide direct instruction in core academic subjects while integrating social-emotional learning strategies.
* Adapt instructional methods to meet the diverse needs of students with behavioral and emotional challenges.
* Collaborate with therapists, behavioral specialists, and other support staff to reinforce therapeutic strategies in the classroom.
* Utilize positive behavior interventions and supports (PBIS) to manage classroom behavior effectively.
* Maintain accurate records of student progress, behavior, and educational achievements.
* Communicate regularly with families, therapists, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure consistency in interventions and academic support.
* Assist in crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques as needed.
* Participate in professional development training related to trauma-informed care, behavioral health, and special education strategies.
* Performs other duties as assigned
